Remote Video Surveillance - How it Works

RVS Intro

Overview How it Works Who Uses RVS Compare RVS Pricing
    ^

The powerful RVS Video Server manages and stores all digital video recordings, digital video software, camera settings and remote access permissions. Whether accessed locally or remotely, this is the source of all camera video.

Accessing live or recorded video can be done in 2 ways. Locally at the location of the RVS Server over your network, or remotely over the internet via the secure web browser interface. Available in standard case or 3U rack mount chassis.

Accessing Video LOCALLY (when you are AT the camera location across your network)

To view live video or previously recorded video, simply open the camera software Control Panel interface shown left. View all cameras at once, or one at a time based on time and dates that you choose.

  • Access all cameras on one screen or individually

  • Access more advanced recording and playback features

  • Changes settings, setup users etc.

  • Save snapshots or export video to AVI files

  • Review recorded video (advanced)

  • Not effected by remote access

  • View cameras from many different locations (jobsites, projects, stores etc)

Accessing Video REMOTELY (when you are AWAY from the camera location)

When you are away from the RVS Server you can still access live or pre recorded video from anywhere in the world. Just open an Internet browser, and type in your static IP number provided by your ISP. This will bring you to the VCPro Web Portal interface shown left.

Choose your camera that you want to view, pick a date and time. Live video or recorded video appears on your screen.

  • View ALL cameras on one screen or individually

  • Save snapshots

  • Review recorded video remotely from the RVS server

  • Does not effect the recording on the Surveillance Server

TIP: Combine the RVS system with our Multiple Display QuadStation Systems for the ultimate surveillance monitoring setup. We can build a system with 2-12 independent displays. For example you could have a 10 display cameras system, with each camera displayed full screen. Talk to your rep when you call about the details.

Networking
The RVS System can utilize an existing network infrastructure and CAT5 cabling. This sets the stage for a very fast and cost effective install. All cameras are IP addressable in the digital video camera software. Standard network protocols and security can be applied.

Existing Cameras
Most older preexisting  BNC type cameras can be converted to digital and implanted into the RVS system. Combine older and new digital cameras in the same system.
